Facial Skin.... Mirror to Health!

  • It is a widely known fact that the color of facial skin reflects the overall health of the body. Here you will learn how to determine what is behind the change of color and hue.
  • The grayish undertone is a result of fatigue and continuous lack of sleep. If wholesome rest and cosmetic procedures for fatigue relief do not help in improving the condition of your face, you will have to consult a doctor.
  • A yellow hue is often indicative of disturbances in the area of the liver, pancreas and spleen. It may also mean that you are at risk of kidney stone formation.
  • Bronzing of the skin, also known as mock-tan often arises from lack of hormones in the adrenal glands. This is a serious illness which has to be treated by an endocrinologist!
  • The white or pale face is a result of low blood pressure. It can also be an indication of heart or lung problems, as well as hormonal lack in the thyroid gland.
  • A red face is most likely due to an increase in the erythrocytes in the blood, high blood pressure or problems in the cardiovascular system.
  • Graying of facial skin is often seen in people with gastrointestinal issues. If digestion is normal, then the reason for greying of the skin can be found in smoking or constant stress.
  • A bluish hue can be caused by heart conditions or respiratory problems.
  • A dark blackening of the face is a hint that it’s high time to visit the urologist. Such a dark hue is usually indicative of kidney or bladder disease.

Misconceptions About Beautiful Hair

1. Split ends can be healed
A lie! The only way to save yourselves from split ends is to cut them off. There are no products which to return the shine of the already ruined hair, it should be cut off.
2. Cutting strengthens the hair and makes it grow faster
A lie! The hair grows from the roots not the ends.
3. Cutting your hair at full moon will make your hair great
To wake up tomorrow or a week later with great hair mat sound intriguing but unfortunately it is just a myth
.
4. If you pluck a gray hair, two will come after it
Again a total lie. If it was true there would not be hair fall cosmetic products. Just pluck one gray here and have two afterwards… then you can dye your new hair in the color you like. Horrible!!
5. 100 times combing your hair before bed guarantees shine and fast growth
Yes, legends are a great thing! But let’s think reasonably. Nothing overused is useful, even combing. It can not cause faster growth but faster greasing of the hair. Let’s not say that the hair breaks faster and you can irritate the skin. Sometimes well-known recipes are not only useless but can be harmful.

Appearance Of Wrinkles

Wrinkles are the main culprits for the skin becoming less attractive with age, and not only the skin of the face, but all over the body. They can be noticed at a younger age when they can be attributed to muscle contraction, grimacing, squinting and frowning. Wrinkles can usually be found around the eyes, mouth or forehead.
The main reason for wrinkle formation is dehydration of the skin. Then also begin the deeper problems on the dermal level – the amounts of collagen and elastane lessen and the process of cell regeneration slows. When the skin is dehydrated, its immunity weakens and if fades, begins to flake or forms rough spots.
To avoid formation of new wrinkles and smooth out the ones already in existence, you can use special nourishing lotions and masks containing collagen and vitamins A, D and E. Injections of collagen containing products are a more forceful method of skin regeneration.

The regular use of appropriate cosmetic products can slow the aging process of the skin. There are many products on the market for smoothing out wrinkles. Some of them have a special dermal-relaxing complex, accomplished through the action of magnesium, which blocks muscle contraction to a certain extent and thus prevents the skin from wrinkling.

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) - main reason for Hair Loss

PCOS stands for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome is a problem in which a woman’s hormones are out of balance. It can cause problems with your periods and make it difficult to get pregnant. PCOS leads to the growth of many small cysts, which look like black dots in an ultrasound, in ovaries.

Symptoms of POS:
PCOS symptoms usually present themselves during puberty but may also begin in the early to mid 20s. Certain symptoms are life-long, others will cease at menopause.
• Acne
• Weight gain
• Thicker and darker facial hair
• Thinning hair on the scalp
• Trouble in getting pregnant
• Depression
• Irregular periods
• Patches of skin on the neck, arms, breasts, or thighs that are thick and dark brown or black.

Mentioned below are some really simple natural home remedies that will help you prevent loss of hair due to PCOS.
• Apply goose berry (amla) juice on your scalp and let it stay for 2-3 hours before you wash your hair.
• Avoid excess intake of sugar as well as simple carbohydrates as they may lead to over-production of testosterone, which is responsible for reducing the rejuvenation of the hair follicles in the scalp.
• Take a protein rich diet.
• Do a vigorous rubbing of the scalp with fingers after washing the hair with cold water. It is also a good natural hair loss treatment.
• Heat 250 milliliters of coconut oil in a pan, and add 3-4 Indian gooseberries cut into pieces. Heat until the gooseberries turn dark brown or black. Use the oil for a hair massage 2-3 times a week. Massage the head with oil for 15-20 minutes and then rinse with a shampoo. A hot oil massage with olive oil will also help.
• Massage the scalp and hair with coconut milk or Aloe Vera gel. Leave it for ½ hour, and then rinse with warm water. Do this thrice a week.

• Mix aloe Vera with herbal powder triphala and apply it to the hairs. Continue this for three to six months. New hairs will start growing.
• Boil one cup mustard oil with four tablespoon heena (mehendi) leaves. Filter it and keep it in a bottle. Message it on the bald patches regularly. It is very effective natural remedy for baldness.
Though, these remedies may be helpful yet it is advised that you seek a medical advice before trying out anything at home.
